I. Location
The holiday home called L'Isola di Marzio (Marzio's island) is located within a large building that occupies an entire block (in Latin: "insula" = island) in the Nomentano district. It is part of the famous Palazzi Federici, the colossal residential complex built in the 1930s, considered a fine example of rationalist architecture with futurist echoes.
Due to its unique charm, this building has been used as a set for important films directed by Ettore Scola, such as "A Special Day" (1977), starring Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren, and "The Story of a Poor Young Man" (1995), starring Alberto Sordi.
The large entrance at street level opens onto the bright Viale XXI Aprile at number 29.
Within the same block, there are bars, restaurants, a pharmacy just 20 meters away, and a large 24-hour supermarket 50 meters away.
Just 500 meters away is Piazza Bologna, where you will find a post office, a taxi station, and the Bologna metro station on line B (just one stop from Tiburtina station, three from Termini, and five from the Colosseum), which runs as far as the EUR district.
In summary, the apartment is located in a beautiful building, in an area well-served by shops, services, and transport links to the historic center and any other destination in the Eternal City.
II. Interior Spaces
The apartment consists of an open space with a living area, furnished with a sofa bed, an armchair, and a bookshelf filled with numerous volumes and a 40-inch smart TV. This area is separated from the kitchenette by a breakfast bar and is adjacent to a workspace with a large desk.
The bedroom features a double bed, bedside shelves, a spacious wardrobe, a desk with a 32-inch smart TV, and a luggage rack.
